Operating a landfill which is licensed to take regulated waste, including PFAS, requires a thorough and well considered sampling approach.
Undertaking groundwater, onsite pond, receiving environment, and gas monitoring provides an early warning system for potential issues, as well as ensuring Environmental Authority compliance.
Our role included:
- Review of existing data and current monitoring program
- Development of improved monitoring plan, targeted towards Contaminants of Concern
- Undertaking quarterly monitoring and reporting
- Calculation and preparation of Financial Assurance (Estimated Cost of Rehabilitation)
- Providing management with recommendations
